March Madness
Rules, Classes and Guidelines


In order to participate in the racing classes of the March Madness Racing Event,
the following criteria must be meet.


Classes:

Street Class:

Vehicles in this class may consist of either a car or truck only. Each vehicle
must be a licenced vehicle with registration and tags that match the registration.
(No Dealer Tags) Also the driver of the vehicle must be at least 18 years of age
at time of event, as well as providing a valid driver license.

Vehicles must have full exhaust.( Mufflers Required)  Windows that roll up.
Hoods are required on vehicles. Convertible vehicles, must race with the
convertible top either on and attached, or in the upright position. Only DOT
approved tires allowed in the Street Class. (No Slicks) Wheels must have all lug
nuts.  

                                                       
Street Class will be broken into ET time classes on 1/8th mile track. Top 12
qualifying for each ET time class. ( 14, 13, 12, 11, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6 and 5 second ET
classes). In the event a class doesn’t meet the top 12 qualifiers, classes may be
combined to make a top 12 qualifier. (Ex. 12 and 11 second class combined into
a single class) ET times will be based on a 3 pass qualifying round with best
time determining classification. 1 time bye backs in each time class ($15) during
competition rounds.



Bike Class:

Vehicles in this class will consist of any two wheel vehicle. Each vehicle must
be a licenced vehicle with registration and tags that match the registration. (No
Dealer Tags) Also the driver of the vehicle must be at least 18 years of age at
time of event, as well as providing a valid driver license.

Only DOT approved tires allowed in the Bike Class. (No Slicks) Wheels must
have all lug nuts.  

                                                       
Bike Class will be broken into ET time classes on 1/8th mile track. Top 12
qualifying for each ET time class. (10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5 and 4 second ET classes). In
the event a class doesn’t meet the top 12 qualifiers, classes may be combined
to make a top 12 qualifier. (Ex. 10 and 9 second class combined into a single
class) ET times will be based on a 3 pass qualifying round with best time
determining classification. 1 time bye backs in each time class ($15) during
competition rounds.


Outlaw Class:

Vehicles in the class will consist of vehicles that don’t meet the Street Class
classification. No rules on exhaust setup (Open  headers allowed).  Vehicles do
not need a registration and/or tags. Slicks are allowed in this class.

Outlaw Class will be broken into Top 24 qualifiers. Qualifying position will be
based on a 3 pass qualifying round with best time determining Top 24 positions.
1 time bye backs in Outlaw class ($15) during competition 1st  round.



Each ET competition round in the Street Class and Bike Class will be based on
NHRA ladder  format, with 12 Top qualifiers. There will be 4 bye backs slots
allowed in each class 1st  round. (Top qualifying losers will fill bye slots)

Outlaw Class will be based on NHRA ladder format, with 24 Top qualifiers. There
will be 8 bye backs slots allowed in the 1st round of competition. (Top qualifying
losers will fill bye slots)

Pay Outs:  

Street Class will be $150 for each ET Class winner. (12 Qualifiers Max)
Bike Class will be $150 for each ET Class winner. (12 Qualifiers Max)
Outlaw Class will be $300 for Overall Class winner. (24 Qualifiers Max)


All classes, qualifying rounds and competition rounds may change during event,
based on number of participants. Pay outs are determined on maximum
participation in each class and may change during event based on number of
participants.
